Hydrangea Diadem

This unusual Hydrangea 'Diadem' is both pink and blue. Usually the plant gets its colour from the acidity of the soil - acid soils produce pink hydrangeas and alkaline soils blue ones.

A quiet spot behind the Rose Garden. The circular seat under the oak tree was added in 1971.
