Bonchurch is set on ledges between the downs and the sea to the south. This leads to the area having an almost sub-tropical climate.
The village became vary popular in the 1800's with artists & poets. Wealthy society followed.
The village prepares for a street party to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee
